Dec 22: Fly to Munich, transfer to your hotel for a six-night stay.

Dec 23: Enjoy an included full-day excursion to Innsbruck, the ‘Capital of the Tirol’ with time to explore its many fine buildings including the famous Golden Roof and the Grand Maria Theresien Strasse. See the charming festive tree dominating the medieval Old Town surrounded by the Christmas Market, with stalls decked out with decorations, local wood and glass crafts. B, D

Christmas Eve: An optional excursion to Salzburg the home to the ‘Sound of Music’ film and birth place of Mozart. Time to explore its medieval spires, lofty fortress and Baroque fountains. Enjoy the sights or simply relax in a friendly café as the locals prepare for ‘Holy Night’. B, D

Christmas Day: After a leisurely breakfast, opt for a train ride on the romantic old Gisela Railway between Kitzbühel and Zell am See. The journey takes you through some superb mountain scenery at the slow pace of a bygone age, before returning for a Christmas evening turkey dinner at your hotel. B, D

Boxing Day: Full day optional excursion across the border to Germany visiting Chiemsee, Bavaria’s largest lake. We take a boat from the spa resort of Prien and travel across the lake to Herrenchiemsee where we visit the Royal Castle of King Ludwig II.

Dec 27: Enjoy a day at leisure in Kirchberg. B, D

Dec 28: Transfer to Munich for your return flight home.

You will stay for six nights at the 3-star Hotel Taxacherhof located in Kirchberg in the heart of the Kitzbüheler Alps. The hotel has a bar, restaurant, lift, billiard room and steam bath whilst all bedrooms have T.V. and telephone.
