Santa's Village

A day break to Santa’s Village in Rovaniemi allows you to organise your own day around a meeting with Father Christmas. A range of optional activities are available at extra cost.

Santa’s Village is our non-inclusive day break to Lapland and provides the most flexible and economical opportunity to visit Father Christmas. You’ll be taken by coach from Rovaniemi airport through snow-covered Lappish scenery, straight to the Arctic Circle Village, which offers a selection of cafés, restaurants, and shops selling souvenirs, including local arts and crafts.

Of course one of the main reasons to travel to Lapland for the day is to visit Father Christmas and Santa has his own grotto in one of the village's main buildings. Meeting Santa will be a memorable moment so why not have a souvenir photograph taken? (Local charges apply.) You can also send a postcard from Santa’s Post Office.

There are a number of winter activities on offer including sleigh rides and the chance to see huskies and reindeer, as optional extras. All the activities need to be pre-booked, so now is the time to choose! Please note that due to demand, some queuing may be experienced waiting to take part in your chosen activities on the day and waiting to see Santa. It is essential to bring your own warm hat, gloves, scarf and proper thermal boots. The following options are available:

Thermal suit: All-in-one suits to keep you warm, and in temperatures that average -8C to -17C but which can drop to -35C, these are vital. £20 each, adults and children.

Lapland Fun: Not far from the Village, this package allows you to participate in a traditional Lapland ceremony, and sample a brief reindeer sleigh ride and husky dog sled ride, both shorter than on our Wonderland day break. £35 adult and £27 children.

Snowmobile Safari: Half an hour of great fun zooming around on a snowmobile. Two adults per snowmobile with children below 15 towed in a sleigh. Thermal clothing is essential. £40 per adult (2 sharing) £25 children. £50 one adult alone.
